Arcos is in desperate need of heroes. A virulent blight is growing in the east and only a contingent of the Guardians has been tasked with seeking the best hope in stopping this danger from consuming their homes and hopes. This Algebra 1 quest is based on Geoff Krall's problem-based learning mathematics curriculum map found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BKrbAz-BsrR9twtCVoujHheWQybeA9Sh2p8VFvp7CwE/ Teacher resources, hand-outs, and alternative activities can be found within the Modeling with Functions area where this quest was derived from. Especially the end of the chapter being the formative assessment "Representing Functions of Everyday Situations" which was not included within the quest as it would give too much away for students.
