My 6th Grade students are currently writing their MEL-Con Persuasive Essay, conferencing in a MUST with this type of writing. Each “stop” of this quest encourages students to conference with me frequently to earn their XP and GP rewards. As they progress through the MEL-Con Graphic Organizer, the game encourages them to meet with me – often daily.
