The Mark of an Adventurer

By London Summers

As part of our schools Grade 10 English Language Accusation class all the students take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test at the start of our unit about personality (At the same time we are reading "Perks of Being a Wall Flower"). I wasn't super familiar with this test and knew that many students dislike it since the results can be sort of cryptic. However, there is another type of personality indicator I am familiar with: Dungeon & Dragons Alignments and Classes. I try my best to establish in class that there is a difference between our Classcraft characters and our selves, so when the students take the two D&D tests I make sure to tell them to do it in character. This gets them warmed up for the Myers-Briggs and opens them up to results that they weren't expecting.
