Students have read The Hobbit by Tolkien and will be writing an argumentative essay to defend whether or not Thorin Oakenshield can be classified as a hero. The premise of the story is that they have to decide where Thorin will be buried and whether his soul will rest in the (personally made up) equivalent of the Elysian Fields.
