Looking for a way to get kids to think about others and encourage those around them? This quest is designed to be used with the PAX behavior system but it can be easily adapted. A "Tootle" is the opposite of a "Tattle." It is a short note written to someone else that describes how that person is being a leader. In this quest, students will write Tootles to a large number of individuals that they go to school with. Each quest get progressively harder, as students are asked to write Tootles to people they had never considered. The story parallels the encouragement process. This was built for my third graders but tasks can be easily changed to better fit your building or grade. I also recommend adding names of specific people to some of the tasks. This helps lower grade students with spelling and learning teacher names.
