The story is set in a village called Rivenshore in a fictional England. The world has magic, dragons and monsters. The students are the heroes in the story and have to help out when the tavern innkeeper's son is abducted by giant rats. The lessons teach the students about adjectives, comparatives and superlatives. At the end, there is a grammar test that includes nouns in plural form, to be, adjectives, verbs, prepositions and possessive pronouns.
