This is a unit based on 8th grade Physical Science that includes phase changes, elemental properties, and practice with Boyle's and Charles' Law. Students will have chances to make decisions which affect the outcome of the game, and there are a variety of random rewards they can get along the way! My students absolutely loved this unit and we all had a lot of fun, especially with the BBs. There are several teacher resources associated with this quest as well. The list of "potions" they can receive is included in the quest. I printed mine (using this file https://docs.google.com/document/d/19hTU7L3Id1omcR7shf_Kz7TRTtjtqoCokfNxSRWaxZM/edit?usp=sharing) and then gave the students the paper based on what they chose. They could then turn the coupon in whenever they wanted to. "Portal Problems" - has research that scholars have compiled (https://drive.google.com/open?id=18IOhF2vcECz6bp8cfZ4BnLwnGIFovq4F) that you can print and give to the students (print the pdf as a booklet and then fold in half). I had a little fun with mine and used tea to make the pages look old. It took maybe 10-15 minutes and the students absolutely loved them.
