This story is packed with 4th and 5th grade science designed to give a background knowledge to draw from during teaching and review. There is also a 5th grade word study. Students unlock a new word study Google Slides and story chapter each week as they work through the material. A great followup for this activity is my fiction writing quest I will release when I am finished with it.
